Being a staunch believer in the idea that the observation of human rights and the practice of International law can bring peace, this editorial will examine false flag operations carried out by India and the far-right extremist party BJP. This opinion piece is a red flag for all the people who are seeking the truth. Following the Agenda Setting Theory, which contends that the media does not instruct people what to believe but rather what to think about, the recent Phalgam attack along the Line of Control is not just another unacceptable event; rather, it is a classic illustration of how media narratives may be used as a weapon for political goals. It is not a matter of what counts but what is perceived to be true.
Deconstructing the official accounts of India's Pahalgam attack concludes it as a complete fairytale. The detailed investigation of this "state-inflicted terror" highlights the actual beneficiaries. Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma warned that any online or mainstream support for Pakistan would put Indian people "behind bars." Meanwhile, India suspended its participation in the Indus Waters Treaty as a projection of their power, which has been in place since 1960, accusing Pakistan of supporting terrorism. Opposition leaders like Congress party member Udit Raj also made a statement, calling the Modi government to use this "moment" to launch decisive strikes against Pakistan. Cross-border gunfire exchanges have increased with escalating tension between both countries. In response, Pakistan is prepared to preserve its sovereignty; it is also open to a neutral international investigation into the Phalgam incident, according to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. UN has urgently called for calm; this war-like situation has a domino effect, impacting regional peace and stability in South Asia.
Digging into the past, India has long history of using false flag operations to blame Pakistan without conducting a thorough investigation; the most recent Pahalgam strike along the Line of Control is just another example of this practice. India's use of staged events to further political goals, divert attention from domestic issues, and defend aggressive postures dates back to the Samjhota Express bombing and continues to this day. The Pahalgam attack is suspiciously timed and represents the most significant civilian attack in IIOJK in 25 years. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif correctly warns that it may be a "false flag operation." The attack is claimed to be the result of a little-known group called "The Resistance Front" protesting demographic changes in the disputed region based on a fake social media post as western media also declared it as fake post by digital forensic. This attack resulting in the death of innocent lives could be just a way to justify demographic changes and brutalities at the hands of Indians in IIOJK; this statement is not far from reality and reflects the truth.
We need to understand that cross-border terrorism is not the actual elephant in the room but rather India's purposeful creation of crises to strengthen the Hindutva agenda and to hold onto political power. It is nothing but a mere fact that in the last elections, the BJP formed the government not by winning the majority seats but rather by coalition. They also used such false flag operations in the past to regain their support among the general public by making use of anti-Muslim stances. Moreover, brutalities and human rights abuse in IIOJK are not hidden from the common eye; with the revocation of Articles 370 and 35 A, the Modi government is making demographic changes in IIOJK along with the abrogation of their special autonomous status as it was part of BJP 2019 election manifesto.
Terror is blind to reason. Disinformation, which is provided by the Indian media, highlights fifth-generation warfare and PSYOP. This terrible incident was designated to win at the diplomatic war front and to build an international image. Media disinformation is playing a triggering role, and it is also impacting the peace of the Asian region. Innocent lives were sacrificed in order to boost India's interests and to portray itself as a victim in the International community. It’s an Indian effort to target on the international front for supporting terrorists and terrorism. However, the evidence provided by the Indian government lacks credibility. Why would Pakistan leave footprints of its mission in IIOJK? It lacks technical evidence. It is a very valid observation that the same methods and stories are used in false flag operations carried out by India, such as the Mumbai attack on 26/11 and the Pulwama attack, either to gain public support by making use of anti-Muslim stance or to justify their illegal acts.
Joining up all the dots from the past to the present highlights the agenda-setting theory. In this event, the Indian media plays a pertinent role in the deception. They implanted a story of their choice in people's minds and influenced their emotions. A false narrative was built up by the Indian media. It is receiving publicity as social media covered the whole event. Without any detailed investigation, the Indian government blamed Pakistan's state and non-state actors. There are many contradictions in the statements of government officials, RAW, and Indian police.
India's Machiavellian role in world politics and in organizing false flag operations in their own country and Kashmir is very alarming, and it requires to be addressed. International authorities like the United Nations and ICJ need to unveil the truth behind their unjust acts and eliminate the main mafia conducting these crimes while people's lives are at stake. As this opinion piece is solely for the general public, the truth seekers all around the world, it's our responsibility to realize the bitter truth behind these false flag operations and eradicate them from their roots.
