The Azerbaijan-Georgia-Europe green energy corridor (Black Sea Energy) is an energy bridge that will provide Europe with secure, accessible, and environmentally clean energy, and Moldova can also join this project, Romania's Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja stated at the COP29 ministerial meeting on energy initiatives held in Baku, Report informs.

Burduja noted that global investments in green energy infrastructure are estimated to be in trillions of dollars.

"We need to be more mobilized than ever, but time is short. We also need to be ready to take action, to turn these beautiful promises into projects and new megawatts for people," the minister said.

He acknowledged the complexity of this process but noted that Romania is ready to respond to this challenge together with Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, Bulgaria, and even Moldova.

"We will create this green corridor that will connect Central Asia with Europe and serve as an energy bridge. We hope this will be an example for other continents and countries to become more connected with each other. Because it will truly provide a more secure, more accessible, and greener energy supply," Burduja added.
