The Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak addressed a letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

"To His Excellency Mr Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Dear President Aliyev.

I convey my best wishes to you regarding Baku Energy Week. At a time when there are two urgent challenges such as fighting climate change and strengthening energy security, it is more important than ever that Baku Energy Week brings together international thought leaders representing the public and private sectors.

Being a reliable energy partner, Azerbaijan plays an important role in the global energy sphere. Azerbaijan's commitment to the issue of increasing the volume of natural gas to be transported to Europe to 20 billion cubic meters by 2027 is already contributing to Europe's energy security. Diversification of supply is important in terms of ending Russia's use of energy as a geopolitical weapon.
